Cloned P2P Lending Websites on the Way
Trillion Fund, which enables you to lend and invest in energy projects, is to allow other websites to clone its P2P lending services.
In a marketing move known as “white labelling”, the company will strip its own logo, branding and any other mention of Trillion Fund away, and allow other websites to rebrand it as their own.
This will allow other banks to offer Trillion Fund's P2P lending services to lenders. More lenders could attract more borrowers and therefore create a sizable market of loans and for Trillion Fund lenders.
Insurance companies, gambling websites, comparison websites, web hosting services and many more companies either white label their services or are white label themselves.
Sometimes the prices, services or service levels of the original provider or of other white-label providers, are different.
Julia Groves, chief executive officer of Trillion, said: “Lenders and investors are actively seeking alternatives to the banks but still want the reassurance of a brand and an existing relationship so they feel confident lending and investing their money.”
