Zopa: When Will Your Money Be Lent Out?

By Matthew Howard on 3rd December, 2014 | Read more by this author

True to its word, Zopa, the world's first P2P lending Company, has made the change it had promised to improve information in our online lending accounts.

We can can now see what money is queuing and what money is in the process of being matched to new borrowers. Money in the queue is usually lent out within two days.

Zopa is trying to bring us closer to understanding what is happening with our idle money at all times

Zopa made two more changes of note

Firstly, lenders' online accounts now clearly displays the money in the Lending account, which incldes money lent out and money waiting to be lent out.

And it shows money in the holding account, which is just cash sitting there earning nothing. It could be offered to lend or transferred out of Zopa.

The change also encourages users to Switch on Auto Top Up, which transfers all your idle money to the lending account and gets it ready to lend.
